Who Is This Girl?

**Behind her back, it has been said: "If ever an anti-depressant were to take human form, it would certainly look and behave like Heather Marie Marsden." (Jeff Bond, Femme Fatale Mag.) Voted by Femme Fatale magazine as "one of the sexiest actresses of 2004", actress / singer / songwriter Heather is a native Detroiter who grew up believing she could be an actress, ballerina, race car driver, and archaeologist.  Didn’t we all?  So far, she’s acted in films and t.v., danced on stage and screen, and is the voice of an animated British archeologist… now, if only she could drive Andre’s car…

**Upon her arrival in Los Angeles, Heather soon found herself quite regularly on the NBC and WB networks as re-curring characters in the comedies Boston Common, and The Army Show, as well as guest starring in episodics including Century City, Charmed, Drake & Josh, The Division, Suddenly Susan, The New Love Boat, The Jamie Foxx Show, and much more. In 2003, her stunt as the“Herbal Essence Girl” on the sketch-comedy DoggyFizzleTelevizzle, represented the show in the no. 10 spot on VH1’s Top 50 Funniest Moments in Music. Studio film roles include the lead in Shark Hunter for the Sci-Fi Channel, and roles in Austin Powers, Tom Hanks’ That Thing You Do, The Colony with John Ritter, and most recently the title role of "Princess Ai" in The Ai-Land Chronicles.

**Intermittent of on-camera TV and film roles, Heather has gone looking for treasures as the voice of “Troy Horne” in the animated specials Dinosaur Island I and Dinosaur Island II, opposite Mark Hamill. Her popularity in Japanese animation is sky-rocketing as the voice of "Princess Ai" in the Princess Ai series as well as "Dahlia Whyte" in A Midnight Opera.

Other voice-overs include commercials for McDonalds, Verizon, Toyota, Toys R Us and Mattel, including over 40 Barbie spots that feature Heather’s singing, resulting in the #2 top-rated spot in Mattel history, “Jam ‘N’ Glam Barbie”. Other national on-camera commercial campaigns include Budweiser (SuperBowl spot), Diet Pepsi (SuperBowl)Supercuts, Chrysler, Burger King, Honda, Allstate Insurance, DuPont, and Martini Rossi.

**Trained in the theatre, Heather’s professional career started at the age of 17 when she toured the United States with the National Tour of Sweet Charity. Within the first month of moving to Los Angeles, Heather landed the role of “Val” in Santa Barbara Civic Light Opera’s A Chorus Line, directed by Baayork Lee, one of the original cast members of the Tony Award winning play. In 2005/2006, Heather originated, ("Marsden is the perfect ingenue." ~Charles Battersby, NYTheatre), and reprised ("Heather Marie Marsden is very fetching as the cute and captivating Becky." ~Alan Ruskin, L.A.Splash.com), the role of "Becky Fielding" in the quirky 50's sci-fi hit It Came From Beyond.

**Heather’s musicianship has led her to the recording studio, where she has co-written and co-produced two pop/rock releases that showcase her as a talented and credible songwriter and vocalist. Her first release, Pieces of Skye, not only enjoyed European air-play in 2003, but also licensed songs “Supergirl” and “Stalker” to NBC’s hit show Las Vegas, the action film Lethal, National Lampoon’s Gold Digger’s movie, and Sports Illustrated Supermodel Search. “Ordinary”, a haunting song from her 2004 Darkblueworld band release, The Harratt Sessions, is featured in the horror film Boo! Darkblueworld's cover version of “Take It Like A Man" on the Joe Jackson tribute cd, Different for Girls, has been receiving airplay in the U.S. and Canada, and is available on Skipping Disc Records. In August of 2005, her single "Venice Freak" entered the Billboard Dance Charts at #25.
